Nope. Schema is a complete replacement/ improvement of the older DTD.

Isn't a DTD required to make IDEs stop highlighting wicket:* as a syntax error? I am under the impression that one can only provide a schema on top of a DTD, but not replace it. Am I wrong?

Category: core Group: 1.0 Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Eelco Hillenius (eelco12) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: create Wicket DTD/ Schema
Initial Comment: For our namespaced tags (<wicket:panel>...) and attributes (<span wicket:id="...) we should create a DTD and/ or schema and put it on our public site, so that Wicket pages can be validated against that, and so that users of Wicket can use code completion with editors that support it.
I think i prefer a schema to a DTD just because it is more modern.
