martijn and i cannot see a reason to support serial version uids in wicket. besides being a major pain to support, they imply that we are going to actually maintain a serialization strategy for long-term storage of wicket components, which we almost certainly will not do. i'm going to remove all the serial version uids for RC1. if anyone can come up with a rational reason to add them, they can do that for RC2.
