When one declares a SharedResource relative to a class "scope", does this imply that when the component associated with the scope gets destroyed that the shared resource gets destroyed too? I am wondering how one manages shared resources in Wicket. How do you avoid resource leaking whereby you keep on adding more and more items to the cache and are unable to remove those unused resources.
Maybe we should move from HashMap to WeakHashMap for our application cache?
