I just spent a while talking with Johan about SharedResource. We agree that it needs to be refactored a little. Conceptually, it should not be a Resource at all. It's a ResourceReference and that's what the new name will be. In making this change I'll mostly be playing with internal detail classes like LocalizedImageResource. Besides the name change, users will mainly notice that the conceptual model is cleaner and that the API is more typesafe. I can't get to this until later tonight or possibly tomorrow, but I will get to it soon. I think this change is worthwhile and I want it to go into RC2.
