Sure, we can help if need be. You don't have to release using maven for the wicket-stuff projects as far as I am concerned (Martijn might not agree with that). If you have a perfectly working ant distribution, that's fine too. As long as it is complete, it's up to you.
Ideally you want people to be able to check the project out and work with it right away. Regardless of all it's rough edges, I like maven for that; I don't have to find out what kind of ant targets I need to run in which order and where to get my dependencies from. All maven projects work the same.
