The 'coding recomandations' in this respect are debatable. There have been various discussions about this on TSS, JavaLobby etc, always resulting in people being pro and anti. We have a couple of comitters in this project (if not all) that think that as long we don't have e.g. a wicket.org domain, we shouldn't fix our package structure on it. We came from CodeHaus, are now at Sourceforge, and chances are we'll move to another host within one year. I think it is okay to use wicket.x as our name space as long as we don't have anything fixed; it makes our packages shorter, we don't have to rename when we move to another host, and there are a couple of other succesful projects which do the same and never had any conflicts due to it.
