what we are talking about here is support moving by default - probably breaking things
or denying moving by default - yes extra interface which might or might not be api bloat

I've used component switching a lot. What introducing this new
interface does - besides bloating the API further - is that it will
actually make it harder to write custom components. You have to know
about one more concept, and this concept is used to protect users
against something they probably won't encounter in the first place!
