1. The Border support seems very "program like Swing" kind of thing,

don't like to view Borders as children of the component, but instead as
decorators 'outside' the component being decorated. Compare with "oil
painting". Noting in the painting assumes that there is some kind
of "border support". The painting is put inside the Frame...
