id="wicket-items" is very old. Shouldn't be there. Where did you see it?
They are in the javadoc of wicket.markup.html.list.ListView.

Yes, the Wiki is informative, and this list too, though often too high level yet. But I'll just stumble along. When I get the hang of I'll try to write some wiki pages myself.
