Well, I'd certainly be interested in anything that's a jump-start for
Wicket/JDBC integration - I've got my own, which just creates the Dao
impl in the RequestCycle but I'm not sure I'm going about things the
right way...

(It's slow, as might be expected if I make the connection each time,
but a quick attempt last night to drop in commons-dbcp seemed to just
have /that/ taking the same time each time a connection was obtained!)

The main issues for me is that I need to stay on JDK 1.4, so the
Hibernate3 Annotations aren't (unfortunately) a way I can go...
