I do not know Wicket internals well, so I am not confident about the code. My current patch is not optimal, it asks for file size inside length(). It's is probably better to update the contentLength member in lastModifiedTime() when the timestamps differs (requires to keep last time stamp). But I don't quite understand the stuff inside the lastModifiedTime(), in the finally handler...
