I choose that name because that is how JSF calls it. It would make sense for people knowing about JSF. My expectation is that JSF will attract a lot of new users in time, and that a lot of people after having done one or two JSF projects will start look for component orientented alternatives which are nicer to program to (Wicket & Tapestry). So, I didn't think immediate was the best name ever, but I choose it for tactical reasons :)
