I like that idea as well. Mailing lists are bad for discussing things
in a quick and uncomplicated manner. Asking and answering questions is
a lot easier when using some kind of immediate communication. Searching
in a mailing list archive is also no fun at all, I think a high quality
wiki/manual/faq with most frequently asked questions is more helpful
than a mailing list archive. But nobody writes mails like this "can you
update the wiki with this?" "no problem" "just updated http://xxx/, can
somebody read over it?" :)
