Of you want a more stable version, you could use 1.0. Even that had an
API break, but only to solve an actual bug. For 1.1 - still in beta -
we have more API changes and additions. We are not changing or core
prinicpals though. Hard to please everyone I guess. Personally, I
prefer break when they make stuff better, and allways hated projects
like Struts that kept on the safe side but as a consequence never
released improvements.
Wicket's growth as very organic now. More and more people participate
by giving feedback and submitting code. Personally, I think that's how
the best software is written: organic and with lots of user's
feedback. But once we get into release (candidate) cycles, we are
committed to keep the API stable for that release.
