because what you must do is ship the source including all youre changes
and with javascript that is not a problem

No, type of code is irrelevant for license issues. Javascript actually
makes things a bit more difficult because you have a bigger danger
of making quick changes like bug fixes and forgetting about possible
(viral) license requirements. With binary or compiled libraries you
can be more or less assured it has not be tampered with.
