Just for completeness sake, and for new users wondering why we don't like forums:

The IRC channel is great for direct communication between several people at once, without having to give out your
IM id. So we /definitely/ like the IRC thing, but can't spend too much time on the channel. It distracts a lot of attention that
would otherwise be put into the framework. Design sessions etc. are perfect for IRC, or for more direct communication
than possible through the mailinglist.
We'll create a faq/etc entry for the IRC channel with the next site update.

interface is really ugly and you can't reply directly to posts or add
