Well, these bugs were too macroscopic to be in Wicket...
The wrong selection was caused by an IChoiceRenderer that returned an
incorrect idValue.
And the missing update of a value in the model was caused by a wrong
configuration of Hibernate.

I've spent the weekend thinking to switch back to Spring Web, so now I
feel better :)
