I think that a ajax enabled tree would be a great addition.  I have a
usecase for this right now to try and display a tree without loading
everything into the model ahead of time.  A "lazy" filesystem explorer
is a good example.

fisheye has a component like this.  Checkout
http://www.jivesoftware.org/fisheye/viewrep/svn-org for an example of
how it works.
