I'm coming into this conversation late so I might have missed something, but what code are you proposing to generate for Wicket?  Or is this outside of or peripheral to Wicket? 

If the code can be generated, why doesn't the language or framework simply do it for you in the first place?  While I'm an XDoclet committer, I'm of the opinion that code generation is a hack.
