I don't know what that would buy us. There was some recent discussion on this list about whether Image should have height and width properties. I wasn't following closely and don't remember the outcome. If it did, then ExternalImage with the same API but a different manner of handling SRC attributes makes sense. But as it is, all Wicket is doing is to set the SRC attribute for your image link, right? I don't know that we need a separate class for that.
