but if it never serializes it how is it going to restore it?

best way to create an inner static class. this is the same problem as the dataprovider one. If you have an anonymous sorteddataprovider class, it will serialize the page along with itself when you change sorting and cause out of mem error.

Probably not any easier then just calling setVersioned(false), but
it's more readable and less of a pain..
