And to add to that, I don't think the different line endings rendering can be solved. When I build the release on laptop, Mac and Linux users will have different line endings when rendering.
There is only one solution to this: everybody build their own release directly from CVS, and does this for all components. Another one would be to have our output stream convert the line endings to the current platform. But I don't know if that is good for performance.
