The maven version I currently advice to use it maven-1.1-beta2, in combination with Wicket. I am now figuring out how to make maven2 behave the way I want it for Wicket... I already have converted the wicket template, so things seem to be going pretty fast.

Site generation is /really/ a lot faster with maven2 than maven1.

I'm just going to reinstall 1.0.2 or whatever the current 1.x release is.  I only use Maven to compile Wicket, so it doesn't matter which version I install.

I really hate Maven.

Martjin is our Maven expert. From what I read about Maven 2 ist seems
to have lots of problems. It is not backwards compatible either, isn't
it?
