I did actually work thru an example of the eclipse kickstart, as it used embedded Jetty and I wanted to use Tomcat, I went back to the examples to work through a couple of those with Tomcat. With Jason's aid (and paying closer attention to the text of example!) I am now running them in Tomcat. w00t!

It has for the major IDE's the correct project settings (IDEA, Eclipse and Netbeans), and is completely ready to go.
It has an ant build file (when you don't want to use maven), and a maven project file (when you want to use maven).
It has helped me quite a bit when working through the examples, checking whether they work or not.
