I can offer three proof readers who use Wicket on a daily basis to build a commercial product.

In case you would like to be #4 and join us, here is our current job opening (Wicket, AJAX, Hibernate, Eclipse etc.) in the SF Bay Area:

On second thought, please do volunteer. I was informed that we
actually need a couple of proof readers pretty soon. I'll contact you
about this later.

Thanks!

Thanks for your offer, but that is really something for the publisher
to decide. When the time comes, we might propose such a thing on this
list. But at this time, we are just not far enough with the book.

Can I volunteer to be a reader of early drafts? Though readers with
deep understanding of Wicket's implementation and intended use will be essential to make sure you get the details right, as a new Wicket user I may be in a better position to recognize weaknesses in the presentation.
(I.e., if it's not explained well, I won't understand it.)

The book will be up-to-date. With at least 1.2.

the planning is that 1.2 will be released within 2 months (i hope
within 1
but that is maybe a bit to much)

A week ago Martijn was talking about end of month, and now it is going
2 months :-(. I am also
wondering if the book will have 1.2 information.

We have now a Security framework (better said security interfaces)
inside
wicket. Where a implementation can be attached to
(like jaas or acegi i guess)
There is currently not a real implementation build on acegi as far
as i
know. But i guess it just have to be build as an implementation of
the
current security interafaces.

Why do you require to use Acegi?

Hi there, without any intention to create presure, I would want to
ask
if the version 1.2 of Wicket provides integration with the Acegi
security framework (as stated in the roadmap for Wicket 1.2). Also
I'd
like to ask if the 1.2 final release will be delayed more than 2,
or 3
months from now. I'm asking this because my next project
requirements
include the use of Acegi as the security framework for the web tier
and
I estimate the development to last at least 3 months and I'd like
to go
into production with a stable version of Wicket. It'll influence my
decision of working with Wicket 1.2, 1.1 or if I will even choose
Wicket
for the project.

Thanks alot.
