I would like to know if there is a reason why the class wicket.markup.html.link.Link is not a parent to ExternalLink?
Because Link is extends by all these AjaxFallbackLink, BookmarkablePageLink, DummyHomePage.TestLink, PageLink, PagingNavigationIncrementLink, PagingNavigationLink, PopupCloseLink, ResourceLink.
