I think Igor meant what the <servlet-mapping> element looks like. E.g.
phonebook has:
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>phonebook</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/app/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
if that would be
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>phonebook</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/app/</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
(without the *), package resources won't work.
