Actually, we would love more patches. Good patches saves us a lot of work, and instead of talking about a solution with all the noise that can result in misunderstanding each other, with a patch we'd immediately understand what is proposed. We usually tweak patches a bit anyway. Though of course we'd prefer to have them as recent/ compatible as possible.
