In developing custom components whose effects/behaviour via third party _javascript_s depends really on the id of the component, i guess it wont be good wicket practice to do something like:
component.add(new AttributeModifier("id",true,model)); //?
does modifying a component id from code have any side effect on the component like maybe break wicket-ajax behaviour on that component? becasue setOutputMarkupId(true) generates what wicket ajax needs to work on a component?
what is the right practice in this.
thanks
