I do not think we can make our tests run with Launchpad: https://code.launchpad.net/~hjd/widelands/tests-poc/+merge/250533 <https://code.launchpad.net/~hjd/widelands/tests-poc/+merge/250533> > > >> Posting this message to two mailinglist also made me think that we really >> should consolidate into one mailing list - and I suggest opening a Google >> Groups for widelands development and deprecating >> widelands-public@sourceforge and widelands-dev@launchpad. This list still exists because everybody can subscribe to it. The Launchpad list is only readable/writable for people that are part of the dev team. We restrict this a bit, since being part of the dev team comes with push to trunk rights which can be very destructive if done incorrectly. > What would be the advantage of Google Groups, what features would we be > actually using? I don't use Google except for Widelands, > hence I'm asking ;) It would be open to everybody again and more modern than the terrible mailman interface that sourceforge uses. Also, it would allow to collaborate on docs & drive more easily as they can be shared with a google group. I am a big fan of collaborating on docs - and I think that the move from github doc has shown how valuable that can be. > > >> There are still some TODOs in the document that I need help with and some >> sections that others need to fill in.
