I am getting a bit burned out trying to fix this thing, so I need a pair of fresh eyes.
I have circumvented the remaining bugs by some hacking - what I need to know now is which hacks we can live with and which hacks need to be fixed. I think getting rid of the old font renderer is worth a few hacks, if they're not too bad - rendering quality is so much better. I have marked all the hacks with NOCOM comments.
