Federico, I'm adding Xabriel's response below. Hope this is helpful. The new file export treats a history export and a current revision export as two separate jobs, with two distinct URLs. Let's look at the fully qualified names of the two files that I think you refer to:
https://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/mediawiki_content_current/itwiki/2026-02-01/xml/bzip2/itwiki-2026-02-01-p2p4267764.xml.bz2 and https://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/mediawiki_content_history/itwiki/2026-02-01/xml/bzip2/itwiki-2026-02-01-p100066p103578.xml.bz2 Thus under https://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/mediawiki_content_current/itwiki/2026-02-01/xml/bzip2/, you will find all the files associated with the current revision export. Under https://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/mediawiki_content_history/itwiki/2026-02-01/xml/bzip2/, you will find all the files associated with the full history file export. This is indeed different from the legacy dumps where all the files were dumped into the same folder, but it allows us to manage the jobs independently. _______________________________________________ Wiki-research-l mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
