Hi everyone, Last week several of you noticed changed google rankings for various pages in your wikis. I emailed Matt Cutts last week and he got back to me today. There were some bot crawler errors accessing some pages which have since been resolved. He's going to initiate another scan of the GoogleBot on these wikis for us asap. I believe he's going to initiate it for all of Wikia but I know he was looking in particular at those wikis I emailed him about.
We'll keep an eye out for the google bot in the next couple of days and let you know when the scan is complete so that we can re-check everything. Internally, we're looking at ways to set up alarming so that if the GoogleBot doesn't hit a wiki for a few days then we'll get an alert and can contact Matt again to see what's up.
