Hey I noticed that the Special:Search shows the "Beta" frontend, but any search produces the "old" search results. Is that intended? Can it be fixed? Good searching is very important. (at least for us at http://vim.wikia.com )
And since I used lucene at work for a while, I would like to point you to some special search syntax: http://lucene.apache.org/java/docs/queryparsersyntax.html There are a number of really cool things: * fuzzy searching with "~" finds mipselled words. * boosting terms with "^" allows to weigh your query: "boring^0.5 important^3" * prefix search with "*": "wiki*" (IIRC the prefix has to have at least 3 letters) It would be interesting to know the exact fields that are in the index ...
