John Q.? Someone else? Do you think we could get a wgLanguageCode or languageCode attribute in the <general /> element in the API: http://www.wikia.com/api.php?action=query&meta=siteinfo&siprop=general|namespaces
I was considering modifying pywikipediabot at some point to be able run on wikia without using family files by grabbing the data needed from the api, and just using a wikia_* family with a lang.
