Wikia is an open source company and we are aware we need to make more efforts to release code on a more regular basis. Some of our work, including improvements to extensions can already be found at svn.wikimedia.org and on mediawiki.org. We intend to put the social code that you see on ArmchairGM.com out there this month. The difficulty is finding the right balance between putting it out there as it is (not very tidy and undocumented) with finding time to package it up nicely and adapt it for non-Wikia uses.
