Jack, Glad to hear the community is excited about the tools. Our policy is to focus most of our resources on supporting wikia user requests and then to submit code to the mediawiki SVN as time permits. I'll talk to the engineers about scheduling another push later in the year.
Are you interested in helping set up and support a SVN as part of the volunteer development wiki? I can check and see whether it's something we can help with.
