Dantman, thanks for finding this! We've been looking for bugs on this feature.
I think I understand what's causing this bug... and I think the problem may be exacerbated by the slowness we've had in the ad server for the last day or so. The redirect js may be rendering after the ads... so if the ads are slow, then the js may be rendering slow, and it pops up when you're on the wrong tab.
