Happened only that once so far, in the couple of weeks since I switched to
Monaco. Same sort of editing problem as I have sometimes got with some pages
that have harmless-looking templates - the edit box pushes to the left over or
under the sidebar , requiring some lateral thinking to do some edits. Here I
needed the same sort of lateral thinking, but there were enough gaps in the
intrusion to let me edit that section.
If something like it happens again, I'll study the page code with your response
in mind. I may study that page more closely anyway - some of it is
unnecessarily complex for its intended function.

This normally happens when there is an unclosed div or table somewhere in the
code (normally due to an edit of a MediaWiki message - such as the edittools or
copyright message). The software seems to be getting stricter about it over
time (possibly due to the new preprocessor).
However, from looking at the page at the moment, I can't see the bug. Did it
happen more than once?

After a quite normal edit on another page, I
clicked to edit a section of Genealogy
Help:Contents. The sidebar (everything below the
logo) has "moved" so that it covers the left-hand
quarter of the main panel. The bottom panel
headings - Hubs/Featured/Wikia is hiring - have
moved up and to the right in a roughly
corresponding manner, partly overlapping the
"edittools" bottom line.
