Note also page-title magic words like {{PAGENAME}} on a page starting with such
a character (like * or ;) cause much breakage, and I can't think of a
workaround.
Try [[Special:Prefixindex/{{FULLPAGENAME}}|prefix search]] on a page like
[[;Foo]] or [[*Foo]].
