Sorry if I wasn't clear, my point is that there is a formal process and it has been followed (since this bug was in fact filed). The formal process that exists will not guarantee that your bug gets fixed -- there's not enough developer manpower out there for that to be possible. Further progress on this will require someone to do some coding.
