At several wikipedia's Shareduploadduplicate is in use to easily spot duplicate
files. See for example

http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Shareduploadduplicate. This options was
removed in
http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/phase3/includes/ImagePage.php?r1=47310&r2=47381&sortby=file
Please restore. See
