Plenty of commits will end up changing whitespace such as indenting a chunk of
code to wrap it in a conditional, or just plain tidying up code. While it's
great to see that a change has been made, it can make it more difficult to scan
for substantive code changes when the diff view shows a whole mess of code as
"changed" this way.
Being able to toggle in an alt diff that skips the whitespace-only changes
might be helpful.
