Either everything should be parsed, or nothing. This means r103476 should be reverted (if we decide we go for the nothing case, it would be done somehere else). subst: could continue working in both cases (mentioned in bug 32450). Note that javascript authors can make the links in such way that they don't get registered (eg. '[' + '[Category').
