Right now, they fields have CSS id's that are numbered sequentially in the pattern input_n, where "n" is the order that it appears on the form. Although that can be targeted with CSS or javascript, but it would affect all other forms that have the same input_n id number. I agree, being able to customize classes and id's for form fields would be handy for advanced users.
