It would be really nice if CheckUser would record both the IPv4 and IPv6
addresses of a user, even if the user is only using one of those protocols to
actually access a MediaWiki installation. With that, we can more easily resolve
the problems of Teredo, 6to4, and other tunnels which would not give valid
geolocation data.
