Bug #: 34111
Summary: "New messages" on www.mediawiki.org
Product: Wikimedia
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
URL: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:NewMessages
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: Site requests
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
On http://www.mediawiki.org/ we are reminded we have new messages upon login.
We can read them at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:NewMessages .
However there is not a sliver of hint how they are generated.
There should be a note on that page that they are somehow related to one's
watchlist, if indeed that is the case.
Currently we see a
History
Move
Watch
Summarize
on top of each message.
If they were really on our watchlist, they would say "Unwatch" there.
And all we are given is the choice to 'mark as read', but no 'unsubscribe'.
