Summary: Hiding a username should not remove useful links to user
                    contribs
           Product: MediaWiki extensions
           Version: any
          Platform: All
               URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fulham&diff=ne

        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: CentralAuth
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

When a username is hidden, the links to user contribs and the like should still
exist, but should show only the userid, not the name. Currently, when viewing
a contrib made by a hidden user, the links to the userpage or contribs are
missing. Example: see linked url.

1. The diff view should show something like this, at a first pass:

   user 195820 (contribs)

2. A further improvement could allow showing also any remaining logs and
user/talk pages if they are not deleted, rewriting them to use user ids instead
of the original name... I'm not sure how to do that efficiently, however.
   user 195820 (talk | contribs | block)
   special:centralauth/user:195820 / user_talk:ditto / blocklog and related
special pages
