There's no way to get the browser to treat it as a comment or a piece of raw text instead of it trying to parse it as html? Will this change as IE6 moves towards 1% of the browser market and websites move away from compatibility with it? I'm just worried that the kmz thing adds another step to what some are calling complicated as is, and takes away a few of the great aspects of kml (being able to extract the coords, manipulating the precision with a bot, etc)...
