             Bug #: 35602
Summary: Highlight searched key words on page
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: Search
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

On the search result page, add an option to highlight the searched keywords on
the pages.

After activating the option the links are
index.php?title=Foo&highlight=my+keywords

On [[Foo]] the words "my" and "keywords" are highlighted (yellow/orange
background).

Problem: rewriting the links on the search result page without page reload.
This could be done with javascript/jquery?

It may not be useful for 90% of the searches where the user just wants to find
an article, but it's extremely helpful when you research for a specific topic
and you know there are lots of pages to look after.
Atm it's a pain to do so with the browser's search (searching the keyword again
on each page) and esp when you have multiple seperate keywords.
